Its time to plant tomatoes. Take off the bottom leaves and plant deep in the soil. Sprinkle crushed eggshells over the root ball and cover with soil. This gives extra calcium. Use egg shells for pepper plants too. Add a bamboo cane for support.
Once your tomatoes have ripened and been harvested, save a handful. Place them in a net and hang in full sun to dry. Then remove the seeds. Use these seeds for the following year. There is no need to buy plants from the nursery again.
