These cheap plastic plant containers can be up-cycled with a little paint so that they look more attractive. First lightly sand with fine sandpaper.
Roughly paint with white undercoat outside and inside, below the soil line.
Mix a colour paint you like. I added grey to white and added a little silver sand for texture.
Sponge on the paint to give a mottled effect.
Water down a tiny amount of black paint and wash over. It will naturally disperse.
Sprinkle black paint randomly onto the pot. An old toothbrush is good for this.
I think lavender would look lovely in these pots.
