Zucchini / Courgette

Zucchini also known as courgette are still in season; a popular vegetable in Greece and easy to grow. Zucchini can be cooked in a variety of ways and used in many vegetarian recipes.

Fried zucchini balls are one of our favourites and are great served as a snack or eaten with salad, tzatziki or a spicy salsa.

Zucchini flowers are also a popular dish eaten in our village. 

 Stuffed with a flavoursome rice of choice and then cooked in the oven; they are delicious.
